If Zionists don't stabilize ceasefire,
resistance groups will respond

Mahmoud al-Zahar
Tehran (Qodsna) - Mahmoud al-Zahar, the co-founder of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and a member of its leadership in the blockaded Gaza Strip, speaks during an exclusive interview with Qods News Agency on Monday, saying that the captivation of Hamas political commanders and leaders is not unique to today and “the criminal process of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and their children has been going on for decades.”
“However, the equation has now changed. The Palestinian people themselves fearlessly, and in spite of the possibility of assassination or arrest, appear on the streets of Gaza, Al-Quds and the occupied West Bank to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he added.
He then rejected the idea of exchanging Israeli captives with the issuance of Gaza Strip reconstruction permit, saying that “the only option for freeing Zionists, who have been captivated during past conflicts, is to freeing Palestinians captives.”
Referring to the efforts of Egyptian officials to improve situation in Gaza and other locations of the occupied territories, the Hamas official stressed that “our our first request to the Egyptian delegation is to try to improve the situation of the people of Gaza after the 11-day war.”
“The second issue that we call on the Egyptian delegation to pursue and implement is to consult for the stabilization of the ceasefire between the occupying regime and the Gaza Strip. Otherwise, the Gaza resistance groups reserves the right to respond to the inhuman actions of the occupiers against the Palestinians and will respond at the earliest opportunity,” Mahmoud al-Zahar said.
