Flag march in Occupied Al-Quds
Crisis in Bennett's cabinet

Palestinian expert describes Zionist regime’s decision to hold controversial flag march in Al-Quds as internal crisis for new Israeli cabinet and outgoing prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In an exclusive interview with Qudsna, Ashraf Abu al-Gheiz, an expert on international affairs in the West Bank, said that Netanyahu is trying to sink the political ship of the Zionist regime since the first days of the new cabinet headed by Naftali Bennett. In this way, if Naftali Bennet approves holding the flag march in occupied Al-Quds, he will be knocked out in the corner of the ring by the Gaza resistance and the missile attacks of Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements. If he prevented holding this march, he will confront with severe internal criticism and it will have a negative impact and will even overthrow the new government.
Holding the flag march is a sensitive issue due to Al-Quds role in last month’s violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories. There were several protests by both Jews and Arabs in the city in April before the war broke out between Palestinian “resistance” groups in Gaza and Israel.
Tensions over holy sites in Al-Quds and the possible eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood helped lead to the fighting, which also included unprecedented communal violence between Jews and Arabs in Israel.
The rescheduling from Thursday to Tuesday June 15 places the march two days after the Knesset votes to approve a new government removing Netanyahu from power, allaying concerns by some critics of the prime minister that he was hoping to use the march and the violence it could potentially spark as part of a final bid to prevent the formation of the new coalition.
