Hamas statement on ongoing Israeli attacks in Sheikh Jarrah

We hail Palestinian residents of Al-Quds’ Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood for standing steadfast and resilient in the face of the Israeli occupation attempts to Judaise Al-Quds and forcefully displace the indigenous Palestinian population from the holy city, Hamas spokesperson in Al-Quds, Mohammed Hamada said in a statement.

By continuing its aggression and suppression against Palestinian Jerusalemites (residents in Al-Quds) and activists in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, the Israeli occupation is insisting on playing with fire, the statement reads.

The Israeli occupation has to realize this lesson and stop its assault on the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah, Hamada added.
