Palestinian captive suspends hunger strike after he won his battle against occupation

Al-Namora, suspended his 21-day hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention after the Israeli occupation yielded to his demands in his battle in the empty bowel and releasing him, said the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission in statement Wednesday.

The commission said Namora suspended his hunger strike after reaching a deal with the Israeli Prison Service to bring him before the Israeli court, where he is expected to have his administrative detention set to a specific period in addition to promises that his current detention period will be reduced and become the last.

Eighteen captives remain on hunger strike; 17 are administrative captives protesting their long incarceration without charge or trial and based on so-called secret evidence, while the 18th went on hunger strike to protest his solitary confinement.

They are Some 40 Palestinian administrative captives went on hunger strike since the start of the year to protest their detention, most have either won their freedom or had their imprisonment fixed to end at a specific date leading them to end their hunger strike.

There are currently 540 Palestinians held in administrative detention in Zionist regime’s jails.
