Female Palestinian spending 3rd month in solitary confinement in Israel's jails

Palestinian captive Fadwa Hamada remains in solitary detention in Zionist regime’s jails for the third month in a row, her husband has said, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

Munther Hamada said: "My wife has been in solitary confinement for more than 80 days, although she suffers from several diseases."

Hamada explained, in a press statement, that Fadwa sent a message through a freed prisoner, in which she appealed: "Enough is enough, I am destroyed, take me out of the injustice I am in."

Three months ago, the occupation authorities issued a new indictment against the Palestinian residents in Al-Quds claiming she attacked a female prison guard while in detention a year ago, when she confronted a jailer who was insulting her fellow prisoner. She was then returned to solitary isolation again. She had last been released from solitary less than three months earlier, having spent 105 days in solitary confinement in the Damoun Prison.

Thirty-four-year-old mother of five Fadwa is from the town of Sur Baher, south of the occupied city of Al-Quds. She was arrested on 12 August 2017.

The occupation accused her of attempting to carry out a stabbing attack in the Damascus Gate area and she was sentenced to ten years in prison and a fine of 30,000 shekels ($9,245).
