Over 100 settlers defile Aqsa Mosque

According to local sources, at least 106 settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.

The Islamic Awqaf Administration in Occupied Al-Quds said that the Israeli police imposed tight restrictions on the entry of Palestinian young people in particular to the Aqsa Mosque for dawn prayers and later in the morning during the settlers’ tours.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Police officers also harassed Palestinian women and young men in the Mosque’s courtyards and forced to them to leave certain routes and passages as the settlers were walking around.
