Zionist official:

Israel should break away from Turkey

Ron Tomer, president of the Zionist regime’s Manufacturers Association, said in response to Turkey imposing export restrictions on the regime: “Israel must be independent.”

Tehran, Qodsna - The Zionist regime’s Army Radio quoted Tomer as saying: “About 50 percent of cement, steel and marble imports are imported from Turkey. Maybe now the government will wake up and break away from Turkish dependence.”

Turkey is also in the process of “taking over” a number of areas, including Israel’s construction industries, he alleged.

The Turkish Trade Ministry said on Tuesday that Ankara will restrict exports of a wide range of products to the occupied territories of Palestine, including steel and jet fuel, until a ceasefire is declared in Gaza.

Turkey has denounced the regime for its war on Gaza. Ankara has called for an immediate ceasefire, supported steps to try the Zionist regime for genocide, and sent thousands of tons of aid for Gazans.

However, Ankara also maintained commercial ties with the regime despite its strong rhetoric, prompting a domestic backlash.
