Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza will not be without cost

Tehran, Qodsna - Ali Bagheri Kani and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, who is also Qatar’s foreign minister, on Friday discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries.

They also discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Rafah.

Referring to the intensification of the crimes of the Zionist occupiers in Rafah, Iran’s interim foreign minister said: “The Zionists must know that the continuation and intensification of crimes in Gaza will not be without cost.”

The Zionist regime launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after Palestinian resistance groups carried out a surprise retaliatory operation, Operation al-Aqsa Storm, inside the occupied territories.

At least 36,284 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed and 82,057 others wounded in the brutal military onslaught.

Bagheri Kani expressed the gratitude of the government and people of Iran for the expressions of sympathy and messages of condolence from the Qatari authorities, especially the participation of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in the commemoration ceremony of the martyred President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

The top Iranian diplomat also pointed to the advice of the Supreme Leader in the recent meeting with the Emir of Qatar who emphasized the promotion of brotherly ties between the two countries.

Bagheri Kani also said that Iran would follow up on all the agreements made during the visits of the martyred president to Doha and the Emir of Qatar will be in Tehran. 

President Raisi lost his life alongside seven others in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran on May 19.

Bagheri Kani also explained the latest developments in Palestine and the unending the brutal crimes of Zionists against women, children and innocent people in Gaza and Rafah.

He said that interaction and cooperation between the two countries and other Islamic countries have been strengthened to defend the Palestinian nation.

The Qatari prime minister also emphasized the special efforts of the Emir of Qatar to strengthen the relations between the two countries in various fields.

He explained Qatar's efforts to stop the war and establish a ceasefire and send urgent aid to the besieged Palestinian people.

In their conversation, the both officials discussed the idea of ​​holding an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to review the latest developments in Palestine, especially the recent crimes in Rafah.
