Scores of Muslims perform nighttime prayers at Aqsa Mosque

Thousands of Muslim worshipers performed on Friday the Isha and Tarawih prayers at the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Al-Quds on the first night of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to local sources, thousands of Palestinian citizens were able to reach the Aqsa Mosque despite the Zionist regime’s restrictions imposed on their entry to the Old City of Al-Quds and the Aqsa Mosque.
Footage showed Zionist regime’s forces harassing and intimidating children, subjecting them to humiliating searches, and preventing hundreds from reaching the mosque for prayer. Many worshipers were blocked, particularly after the Israeli occupation police announced restrictions on men under 55, women under 50, and children over 10 years old.
Earlier in the evening, Sheikh Mohamed Hussein, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, announced that tomorrow, Saturday, would be the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
