Zionist troops destroy 3,250 housing units in Jenin refugee camp

The media committee in Jenin refugee camp reported that 3,250 housing units have become uninhabitable due to the ongoing aggression of the Zionist regime’s occupation forces for the 68th consecutive day Saturday, while the number of displaced persons from the camp has reached 21,000.
The Jenin municipality said that the camp has become completely uninhabitable due to the continued aggression, which includes the demolition and burning of homes, as well as converting others into military barracks.
The Jenin municipality added that the Zionist regime’s troops continues to impose a severe blockade on the Jenin governorate, which is home to 360,000 residents. The municipality noted that the Zionist troops has destroyed about 600 homes and the entire infrastructure in the camp.
The Zionist regime’s forces sent military reinforcements along with bulldozers to the Jenin camp, where demolition operations, street expansions, and the opening of new roads are ongoing. The army continues to fire live ammunition around the camp amidst movements of infantry units inside it and intensive drone flights.
The number of displaced persons from the camp has reached 21,000, who are distributed between the city of Jenin and surrounding villages.
In the meantime, the Hebrew website Walla reported that the Israel troops is increasing the level of engineering operations, referring to demolition and clearing operations in the camps of northern West Bank.
The site quoted the commander of the central region in the occupation army as saying that the Israeli government has decided to dismantle the camps, considering them a “fortress” for Palestinian resistance, and to convert them into residential neighborhoods belonging to the cities of Jenin and Tulkarem.
Zionist regime continues its military aggression against the governorates of Jenin and Tulkarem (north) since January 21, which has included systematic arrest operations and field investigations targeting dozens of families, in addition to converting homes into military barracks.
