Zionist Regime Martyred 8 Activists in Gaza

 Dozens of Israeli tanks and armored vehicles moved into the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, sparking clashes with Palestinians that martyred 3 activists, medics and residents said.

An army spokeswoman said about 10 tanks and armored vehicles entered the Hamas-run territory as part of a routine operation against Palestinian combatants. Two Zionists' soldiers were lightly wounded after an anti-tank missile was fired at their vehicle, she said.

A total of four Zionists' soldiers were lightly wounded in the clashes and evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.

Earlier Tuesday, two Palestinian fighters were martyred in two separate Israel Air Force strikes in northern Gaza.

Zionist regime's troops in the southern Gaza operation took over the rooftops of several homes and detained about 60 people in house-to-house raids, residents said.

The gunfire kept frightened motorists away from the main road between the towns of Khan Yunis and Rafah, which was blocked at one section by Zionist regime's tank. Troops also were demolishing a gas station on the road.

The operation took place about one kilometer deep inside southern Gaza.

Zionist regime's strikes which martyred two combatants earlier Tuesday were carried out after the Palestinians were spotted approaching Zionists' troops operating in northern Gaza.

One of the men martyred was an Islamic Jihad member, a spokesperson for the militant group said. Hamas said it attacked two groups of soldiers in northern Gaza.

In the West Bank, Zionist regime's troops kidnapped 12 wanted Palestinians early Tuesday, Israel Radio reported.

In the West Bank city of Nablus, a Palestinian activist died when an explosive he was planning to use against IDF troops detonated accidentally, local residents said.

Hospital officials identified the dead man as a militant from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an offshoot of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement. They said three other people were wounded by the explosion.
