Israeli journalist: Gaza, vietnam of Israel
A Zionist journalist, Yvil Markus described the shelling of 5900 rockets during last 7 years from Gaza to occupied territories as the second Vietnam for Israel.
"With firing over 5900 rockets in last 7 years, we effectively have a second Vietnam. We must not involve ourselves in a second Vietnam by invading the Gaza Strip" London based daily Al-Qods Al Arabi quoted the journalist as saying.
Israeli defeat in Lebanon war was the first Vietnam, the Journalist added.
The first rockets was fired in 2001. The tally has now crossed 5900 with 18 Israelis killed and more than 600 others wounded, Markus said.
Israel has lost its confidence due to fear of firing Palestinian handmade projectiles and suffered from psychological stresses.
Addressing leaders of Israel, Markus warned "you know well that how and when you want to enter Gaza but the turn and time of your withdrawal is not in your hands."
