Azzam: Bush's visit, part of American war against the region

 

A prominent leader of the Islamic Jihad movement on Tuesday rejected Bush's visit to the Palestinian territories, pointing out that the visit was part of the American war against the region and its support to the Zionist war against the Palestinian people.

 

In a press statement, Shaikh Nafez Azzam said that "The American president comes to our country and our region while our blood is covering his hands, and torments which were left by his policy are widening day by day", pointing out that the American-Israeli policy continues to produce violence, vandalism, damage and terrorism against nations and peoples despite the Annapolis meeting.

 

Azzam described Bush as an undesirable guest, adding that Bush was responsible directly and indirectly for all the suffering of the Palestinian people.
