The ousted president Muhammad "Mursi only garnered five million votes. Were all those voters members of the party? Never," he said.\r\n\r\n\tThe expert said many of those voters were normal people and villagers who have pinned hope in the party's plans for future of the country.\r\n\r\n\tThe expert noted that the Brotherhood is not the sole Muslim party in Egypt's political scene. "Salafi groups, moderate Muslim parties, al-Azhar, Sufists and Shias too have taken part in the Islamic awakening movement," the expert said, adding that the failure of the MB party in establishing an Islamic government never means that the potential of Egyptian Muslim has failed.\r\n\r\n\tThe expert then questioned the MB's policy of keeping exchanges with Israel while severing ties with Syria and showing reluctance over Iran relations.
