The push however has already ended up in failure. The Israeli-Palestinian peace in light of the situation on the ground more looks like a mirage than reality. There are also little chances the peace would be materialized. Zionist regime's authorities have already admitted to the idea.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe peace talks have been facing a bumpy road from the start however they were deadlocked amid the recent developments in the Arab world. The Palestinian side has officially declared it would return to the negotiations table only if a Palestinian state is established.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe Israeli side on the other hand has called for recognition of Israel by the regional countries, albeit without showing willingness to concede to the Palestinian demands. Israel pretends to be interested in peace with Arabs. At the same time, it has pushed through its aggressive conduct including by expansion of Jewish settlements, assault on the al-Aqsa Mosque, desecration of religious sites and implementation of its expansionist policies. The colonial Prawer plan that would have rendered thousands of Palestinians from the Negev desert if implemented is one of such expansionist policies.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tIsrael is well aware that any concession to the Palestinian side would be useless. It knows that with increasingly powerful Palestinian resistance groups on the ground and with the support of the Arab and Islamic countries to the formation of a Palestinian state within the 1949 original land of Palestine, no concession would brought Israel a peace. For the same reason, it rules out the Palestinian demands.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe Palestinian side demands for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders that contains Gaza, the West Bank and the city of al-Quds as its capital. It also demands for return of Palestinian refugees, determination of borders, resolution of the Jewish settlement issue, as well as the issue of water distribution and security affairs. The Zionist regime has never heeded the demands.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe recent developments in the Arab world have affected the position of the Palestinian side. The Egyptian developments stripped the Palestinian Authority from its major ally, the former regime. The Authority now seeks to mend its face among the Palestinian public opinion and the rest of the Arab community by several diplomatic moves, including restart of reconciliation talks with Hamas and official declaration of Palestinian state in the United Nations in defiance of Israel.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tOf note in the peace process is that the US that has been at pains to take the helm of Palestinian-Israeli talk appears feeble now due to the Middle East developments and the lingering economic crisis in the West.
