\r\n\tUN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon has visited the occupied lands of Palestine in an apparent effort to contain the waves of anger of the Palestinian nation in the occupied West Bank, the occupied Quds (‘Jerusalem’) and the besieged Gaza.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tPalestinian analysts however consider the visit as a futile and say the UN seeks to compliment the Israeli and US effort to put off the emerging intifada.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tMohammad Farwaneh says Ban’s visit would not bring any changes to the aggressive and violent Israeli policies against the Palestinian nation, rather it would further intensify those policies.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tTallal Owkal says the UN chief lacks the necessary means for pressing the conflicting sides, adding the visit would end up in failure.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tHe said the popular uprising of the Palestinian nation has prompted the international community to engage in the efforts to resume the path of negotiations.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tAs for the US role, the analyst said the US has never adopted a neutral side in the Palestinian issue and that the two sides have ever more significant priorities in the region.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tThe analyst also noted that Israel was entangled in serious crises and could not change the current course of developments.<\/p>\r\n
