After nine years polls stations was once again opened to people in Lebanon to vote for their candidates in the Lebanese parliament. The election was held with participation of 49 percent of the Lebanese population and the results were outstanding, as Hezbollah vowed to gain more sits in the parliament, the final results were a decisive victory for Hezbollah and the people of Lebanon. People celebrated this victory by coming to streets holding portraits of Seyed Hassan Nasrralah and waving the flags of Hezbollah and Lebanon.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The counts of votes are not finished yet and it is still in process, but the outcome so far indicates a decisive victory for Hezbollah and its allied political party group.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hezbollah’s friendly political parties are, Amal Movement led by Nabih Berri, Christian Democratic Party led by Michel Aoun and other minor parties which assume Hezbollah as national source of security and stability. Sunni political parties who also are friendly to Hezbollah movements have also achieved a large scale of votes in Trablus and Sidon despite all the influence the rival party of Al-Mustaqbal movement led by Saad Hariri.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

As reported by local sources in the election stations, Saad Hariri and his friendly political parties have lost a lot of key parliament sits in the elections and it’s assumed as a contemptible loss for western backed Hariri, however according to Lebanese constitution the prime minister has to be from a Sunni political group and that means Saad Harir has still a great chance to remain in power as Prime Minister.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Lebanese constitution forces a bid to avoid sectarian conflicts, according to the bid, the President must be Christian, Prime minister must be selected from Sunni groups and Parliament Spokesman must be candidate from Shia movements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Western societies and Saudi Arabia, who are seeking new strategies in Middle East, are concerned about the results. The rise of power of resistance movements is capable of halting their attempts to make changes to the region.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Local media outlets in Israel had a negative reaction to the results of Lebanese elections and mentioned that the elections caused Hezbollah movement to gain more power in Lebanon and it will also cause a chaos to American international policies in the region.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
