The award ceremony of top performers of 2nd International Cartoon Festival of Quds International Day was held on Wednesday 29th August 2018 with the presence of Dr. Zahra Mostafavi, Secretary General of the Society for the Defense of Palestinian People, Ayatollah Akhtari, the Secretary-General of the Ahlul-Bayt International Forum and Khalid Qodumi, representative of the Hamas movement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
The ceremony, initially started by Khalid Qodumi‘s remarks as he addressed the audience he thanked the authorities for launching such programs: “caricature reflects in all international societies, we also consider this art admirable and I wish to thank all the artists who participated in this festival.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
He continued, "In 1969 Masjid al-Aqsa was once burned down to ashes which all of us will never forget, after the incident an organization was formed by Islamic countries which was called the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the organization had one single goal which was the liberation of Palestine and al-Quds, but today some Muslim countries have accepted a separation in al-Quds as west and east al-Quds. Today those Islamic States consider East Jerusalem as Israeli capital and east Jerusalem as Palestinian capital and it is interesting to let you know that East Jerusalem is only 11% of the total Quds lands.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He added that the Zionist regime claims the entire al-Quds lands and basically believes that Palestine is completely owned by Israel, they kidnap our children and kill our youth as well as destroying their houses and beyond all these miseries, cross these borders an ignorant president, shifting the embassy to the hut without regard to the international community.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Qodumi added: “Currently, we are witnessing that the US president who has fialed to gain popularity in his own country, seeks adventures in the Middle East, only for the lack of unity between the countries of the region. But in this darkness, we can see little lights of hope from the resistance groups, resistance forces in cooperation with Lebanese and Iranian youth succeed avoiding the Zionist regime ton conquer the entire lands of Palestine.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

"I assure you that until Gaza Strip is in siege, there is no place for agreement and the ceasefire." said the Hamas movement's representative.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Following the session the secretary of the second International Cartoon Festival of Quds International Day said: “Qods Day is a commemoration of Imam Khomeini. However, in our country, despite all the events which were held for resistance culture there was no special event on the occasion of the Qods Day.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
He announced the goals of this festival as to revive the Quds Day, to attract public opinion to the issue of US embassy move, to encourage young people to enter the arena of art and produce new artworks.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Ayatollah Akhtari, as the director of Ahlul-Bayt International Forum, said: “Supreme Leader's Office highly urges for such events to take place every year. In this regard, following the decision of the President of the United States to transfer the embassy, \u200b\u200ba series of reactions were taken, one of which was to recall of the cartoon festivals.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
He added: "Imam (PBUH) is one of the distinguished personalities that raised the struggle against Israel by sending letters and even holding meetings. When the Islamic revolution was formed, the expulsion of Israeli advisers and diplomats were fundamental steps of the revolution and the embassy was delivered to Palestinians.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
The secretary general of the Ahlul-Bayt International Forum concluded: "Israeli settlement is due to the fear of failure and the establishment of a base for itself after the downfall, and it is interesting that today, the Palestinian people do not want a cease-fire, but they want to remove the entire territory of their land from Israeli haulers."<\/p>\r\n\r\n
