Deputy Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah Movement on Friday strongly condemned the American President George W. Bush's irresponsible comments on Lebanon's Presidential Elections.

The Lebanese press reflected Bush's interfering comments in Lebanon's internal affairs, where he has suggested that the March 14th Group can instead of the two thirds votes limit at the Parliament, suffice to half plus one limit to elect the country's next president.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naeem Qassem referring to that comment said on Friday, "Lebanon has so far paid a very hefty price due to America and Israeli interference in our country's internal affairs, while Washington has never been Lebanon's friend."

The Hezbollah official emphasized, "America's interference in Lebanon has always been aimed at assisting Tel Aviv to ensure the security of its citizens, and to push forth its own defeated Greater Middle East Plan."

"Bush had better realize now that the newly emerged Lebanon is resistant, free, and independent, and will by no means yield to the plans and proposals put forth by Washington and Tel Aviv," Qassem said.

Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah added, "The recent massive Israeli invasion in 2006 was aimed at annihilation of the resistance movement here and paving the path for political, economic and security concessions, but the Lebanese resistance was the winner of that uneven war that led to a series of other defeats for America and Israeli plans in the region."
