Tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens flocked to the al-Katiba al-Khadra (Green Brigade) plaza in Gaza City on Wednesday morning and afternoon to attend the official activities of the festival marking the 35th founding anniversary of the Hamas Movement.

Head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yahya al-Sinwar, has said that his Movement had entered into rounds of secret, indirect negotiations with Zionist regime to achieve a prisoner swap deal. 

The head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has said that the issue of Al-Quds is a top priority for the Movement, stressing that Al-Quds is the core of the Palestinian struggle with the Israeli occupation.

According to local sources, the shooting operation targeted Israeli soldiers at the Beit Furik checkpoint in eastern Nablus.

An independent and nongovernmental rights organization says Zionist regime’s military forces have arrested 6,500 Palestinians, including hundreds of women and children, across the occupied West Bank, including the Old City of al-Quds, since the beginning of the year, as the Zionist regime continues its campaign of abuse and arrest against Palestinians.

Ziad Nakhale, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, said: “We will continue the fight until we get our justice and take back our land.”

Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at Zionist regime’s forces and their vehicles near Jaba town in the occupied West Bank on Saturday evening.

The Islamic Jihad resistance movement has reacted to the death of two Palestinian youths who succumbed to their wounds after they were shot by the Zionist troops in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, stating that the blood of Palestinian martyrs further cements resistance fighter’s resolve to liberate the occupied lands.

Member of Hamas’s political bureau Zahir Jabarin has stressed that the Palestinians are in agreement that resistance is the topmost option to end the Israeli occupation.

The Hamas Movement has mourned martyr Mahdi Hashash, an 18-year-old from Balata refugee camp, who was killed during violent clashes at dawn Wednesday with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the eastern area of Nablus.

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has denounced the most recent killing of a Palestinian teenager who was shot dead by Zionist troops near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

The Hamas armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, has said that its ground-based anti-aircraft units repelled the "Zionist hostile air force", which at dawn Friday targeted the "13th Brigade" site at the entrance of the Maghazi refugee camp.
