Checkpoint killing shows Israel follows “trigger-happy” policy

The body of an eight-year-old Palestinian, who had gone missing in Jerusalem al-Quds for around a day, is found at the bottom of a cistern in the occupied city amid suspicion and accusations of his murder by Israeli settlers.

Israeli jet fighters have reportedly targeted the positions of Palestinian resistance forces in the south of the besieged Gaza enclave.

Israeli military aircraft have carried out a fresh round of airstrikes against targets in the northern part of the Gaza Strip as the Tel Aviv regime continues with its acts of aggression against the besieged Palestinian coastal sliver.

A number of Palestinian rights groups say Israeli military forces have arrested more than 5,500 Palestinians, including 889 children and 128 girls and women, across the occupied West Bank throughout the current year.

Israeli prisons are rife with mistreatment and abuse of Palestinian inmates, a rights advocacy group says, highlighting that well over 1,000 complaints of torture by prison guards have been filed since 2001.
