Hamas welcomes Belgium’s ban on military supply transit to Israel

“This decision reflects adherence to international law and alignment with the values of human rights and justice,” Hamas said in a statement on Sunday.

Hamas urged other countries to follow suit and impose a comprehensive ban on supplying Zionist regime with weapons used in its ongoing aggression against innocent and defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Movement also called for taking effective steps to boycott the Israeli occupation state politically, diplomatically and militarily, and prosecute it for its crimes of ethnic cleansing and genocide.

On Thursday, Belgium banned aircraft carrying weapons and military equipment to Zionist regime from using the country’s airspace or making technical stops.

The decision, initiated by foreign minister Maxime Prévot, requires relevant parties to report to the Belgian authorities the transportation details of flights carrying military equipment to Israel, daily Le Soir reported.
