West Bank: Settlers and Zionist troops target farmers, olive groves

Extremist Jewish settlers and Israeli forces launched a fresh wave of attacks across the occupied West Bank over the past 24 hours, primarily targeting Palestinian farmers and olive groves.

In eastern Ramallah, extremist Jewish settlers, under the protection of Zionist regime’s forces, attacked Palestinian farmers and their families on Thursday morning while they were harvesting olives in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that Zionist regime’s forces and settlers stormed the al-Manatir area of the village and harassed farmers and olive pickers before preventing them from continuing the harvest and forcing them to leave their grove.

On the western side of the village, settlers released a herd of livestock into cultivated fields near residents’ homes, damaging crops.

This Incident is part of an ongoing campaign targeting local farmers and their livelihoods in Kafr Malik. Just weeks earlier, on October 17, settlers raided a farm owned by the al-Darbani family in al-Manatir, stabbing and killing 20 sheep.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces began bulldozing swaths of agricultural land in the northeastern area of the village of Tura, adjacent to the separation wall southwest of Jenin.

The land belongs to local residents and includes centuries-old olive trees and cultivated farmland. The landowners said they had received no prior notice that their property would be targeted.

In Nablus, Zionist regime’s forces stormed the town of Burqa yesterday and kidnaped four citizens while they were harvesting olive crops.

In a separate attack, settlers bulldozed tracts of agricultural land and uprooted olive trees in the al-Qalila and Ras al-Ain areas, east of as-Sawiya village in Nablus.

In Bethlehem, Zionist regime’s forces bulldozed a half-dunum plot of land in the village of al-Walaja belonging to a local resident. They uprooted more than 50 olive and fruit-bearing almond trees, demolished a 35-meter retaining wall and a staircase, and destroyed water tanks.

In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, settlers released livestock into olive groves in the villages of al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya and Kafr Malik, while settlers, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, prevented farmers from harvesting olives on their land in the town of Turmus Ayya.
