Republican Senate candidate's campaign employs registered agent for Israel: Documents

Two so-called media workers serving Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers' Michigan campaign registered as foreign agents for the Israeli regime, while performing “campaign-related work,” a review of federal records shows.

Investigative outlet Drop Site News conducted the review, citing the results in a report on Monday.

It named the duo as employees with Convergence Media, which identifies itself as a US political communications, digital marketing, and public affairs firm that works with political candidates, campaigns, and other organizations.

Abigail Ronson, a Convergence digital communications specialist and Rogers campaign spokesperson, registered in May under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Her filing identifies work for HAVAS Media Network, which has subcontracted several firms in the United States to conduct influence operations on behalf of Tel Aviv. The firms have included Clocktower X LLC, which is associated with former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.

The filing states that her services will include “strategic communications, planning, and media services in support of Havas’ engagement by” the Israeli regime to develop and execute a “nationwide campaign” in the United States to combat, what has been referred to as “anti-Semitism.”

Jesse Stokes, another Convergence employee, registered as a foreign agent in October 2025 under the same contract. Document metadata identifies him as the author of press releases announcing Rogers' Senate campaign in April.

Drop Site said Ronson was among 14 Convergence employees subcontracted by Parscale for a $46.5-million “communications project” launched by the regime involving social media campaigns and efforts to place pro-Israeli information in large language models.

The Rogers campaign denied Ronson was a staff member in June after she was identified as responsible for an AI-generated image depicting Rogers with exaggerated muscularity.

However, she has continued communicating with media outlets, including Drop Site News and The New York Times, as a campaign spokesperson.

Drop Site News also reported that Together for Michigan, a super PAC (political action committee) supporting the “Democrats for Mike Rogers” initiative, has spent $5 million attacking Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed.

The PAC's donors include Republican megadonors, Anthony Soave and Robert Penske. The Great Lakes Conservatives Fund, which has contributed more than $4 million to “Democrats for Mike Rogers,” reportedly expects a further $9 million from the pro-Israeli lobby AIPAC, according to The Times.
