Hamas: Trump’s plan targets Palestinian cause future
Abdul Rahman Shadid, a senior Hamas official, said that US President Donald Trump’s plan is not aimed solely at Hamas as a faction, but rather targets the entire Palestinian people, their factions, rights, core principles, political identity, and the future of their national cause.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Shadid emphasized that the response to this plan, which poses grave dangers to the future of the Palestinian issue, will be a distinctly national one.
He added that a final response will be issued following ongoing consultations with various Palestinian factions.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, announced a plan to end the war on Gaza. The proposal includes the release of Israeli captives in one batch, the disarmament of the resistance, and in exchange, promises of Israeli withdrawal from parts of Gaza, reconstruction efforts, and the sidelining of Palestinian factions.
