IRGC chief:

Iran to develop advanced stealth missiles to counter Israeli systems

The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Iran must equip its missiles with stealth technology to enhance their ability to penetrate Zionist regime’s anti-missile system.

“If we can equip our missiles with stealth technology, we will certainly be able to further increase their penetration rate through the Zionist regime’s defense shield,” Major General Mohammad Pakpour said on Sunday.

He referred to the Israeli-American aggression against Iran in mid-June, noting that Israel and the United States believed the collapse of Iran’s command system through assassinating senior commanders would inevitably lead to a breakdown in operational fields. “But it was a major miscalculation,” he said.

Pakpour explained that immediately after his appointment, following the assassination of his predecessor, the IRGC forces, in cooperation with the Army, launched intense and decisive counter-operations against Zionist regime.

According to him, Tel Aviv had assumed Iran would fire only five or six missiles on the first day of the war. Instead, the Armed Forces immediately began large-scale operations, deploying a volley of drones and ballistic missiles against the Israeli regime.

Highlighting Tehran’s firm response to the US attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities, Pakpour said that in the final days of the war, Iran decided to respond proportionately to the number of bombs the Americans had used.

“On the last night of the war, the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the most important US base in the region, was targeted by 14 missiles,” he said.

Following the heavy strike, he added, the Americans sent a message to Iran: “If you don’t strike, we won’t strike either.”

“Finally, on the 12th day, the enemy, unable to withstand our missile strikes and national cohesion, called for a ceasefire,” Pakpour said.

The IRGC chief stressed that the Armed Forces’ missile strikes were among the main factors behind Iran’s victory in the 12-day war with Israel.

“The enemies certainly know that if, God forbid, they attempt any action against the Islamic Republic, they will face a response even harsher and more crushing than before,” he warned.

He added that enemy assessments have already acknowledged this reality, which is why they refrain from taking direct action against Iran.

Pakpour stressed the need for maintaining readiness and strengthening both technical and tactical capabilities, as adversaries are also working to overcome their weaknesses.

He described the recent imposed war as a “war of technology and Artificial Intelligence,” as Iran faced advanced US and European systems on the battlefield.

The commander urged the Armed Forces to prioritize air defense and the development of stealth technologies.

On June 13, Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.

More than a week later, the United States also entered the war and bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, in a clear violation of international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the al-Udeid air base.

On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Zionist regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the illegal assault.
