IRGC Quds Force chief vows continued support for Hezbollah

Posting on social media platform UpScrolled on Sunday, Brigadier General Esmail Qa'ani dismissed Zionist regime’s recent claims of destroying Hezbollah’s capabilities in Lebanon.

He said that “unity and cohesion across the broader resistance front have become stronger and more solid than ever.”

Qa’ani reiterated that Hezbollah is not alone, and the entire resistance front stands alongside the group’s fighters, who are defending Lebanon’s sovereignty in the face of Israel’s ongoing aggression.

“Today, the primary focus remains on supporting Hezbollah and all other components of the Resistance,” he said.

The IRGC commander further said that the Israeli regime “has failed over the years to end wars on its terms or achieve its stated objectives.”

The US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, launched on February 28, drew in resistance forces from across the region, including from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.

Tehran and Washington agreed to a Pakistani-mediated ceasefire on April 8 after Washington formally accepted Tehran’s 10-point proposal, which demanded a cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.

The US and Israeli regime, however, said the ceasefire did not include Lebanon, with the latter launching devastating attacks on Lebanon shortly after the ceasefire with Iran took effect, killing more than 300 people in a single day.

Iran said that continued talks with the US, the first round of which was held in Islamabad on April 11, was contingent on Israel ceasing its attacks on Lebanon. A ceasefire was subsequently announced on April 16.

However, the truce has been systematically violated by Israel. At least 2,500 people have been killed across Lebanon since the Zionist regime’s military resumed its attacks on Lebanon in early March, according to Lebanese authorities.

In retaliation to Israeli ceasefire violations, attacks on civilians, and the demolition of homes in southern Lebanese villages, Hezbollah continues to carry out military operations against the occupied territories.

The resistance fighters have conducted several strategic strikes, ranging from drone and artillery strikes on troop gatherings to the destruction of a military bulldozer and a rocket salvo targeting an illegal Jewish settlement in the occupied territories.
