Nine civilians injured in Zionist regime’s strikes on Gaza City
Nine Palestinian citizens, including a child, were injured on Friday evening following Zionist regime’s airstrikes on a house in ash-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
According to local sources, an Israeli warplane struck the house near Hamid Street in ash-Shati camp, then bombed it again, amid Zionist regime’s artillery shelling targeting east of Gaza City.
Civil defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said that two Zionist regime’s airstrikes targeted in the evening a house belonging to the al-Adham family in the ash-Shati area west of Gaza City, injuring about nine civilians.
Basal noted that the airstrikes entirely destroyed the house in “Block 9” of ash-Shati camp.
Basal added that the airstrikes damaged dozens of nearby houses and buildings, sparked fires in several, and forced some families to leave their homes.
The civil defense service called on the international community, human rights organizations, and mediators to urgently intervene to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.
