Hamas: Israel’s displacement campaigns in W. Bank “war crimes against humanity”

In a statement on Saturday, Mardawi said that these Israeli campaigns aimed at breaking the Palestinian people’s resilience and advancing annexation plans.

Mardawi described Zionist regime’s threat to demolish dozens of homes and displace more than 100 families in al-Walaja as “part of a broader, systematic campaign to isolate Palestinian communities across the West Bank.”

Mardawi warned that the Zionist regime’s occupation’s continued aggression in the West Bank and its disregard for international warnings would only fuel further popular anger and resistance.

“The criminal Israeli government’s annexation of land, Judaization of holy sites, and destruction of daily life will neither change the Palestinian identity of the land nor confer legitimacy on the occupation. It will only strengthen our people’s determination to remain on their land and protect it,” the Hamas official said.

He urged Palestinians in Bethlehem and across the West Bank to resist Zionist regime’s settlement projects, affirming that resistance and unity are essential to defend land, dignity, and holy sites.
